    Trading currencies

Is it against forum rules to trade currencies for different games? I'm looking to get into ff14 but have been playing another mmo for a while and was wondering if anyone would want to trade. If this is against the forum rules then please delete the thread.

Unfortunately, trading a virtual currency is a violation of the EULA you agreed to before playing the game. It is technically 'placing a value' to the in-game currency (similar to bitcoin), which breaks clause 2.2 of your agreement. It is also difficult for SE to control money farming or inflation in games outside their licences, so this an indirect way for goldfarmers to value ffxiv gil. In short, this is a terrible idea and will probably be immediately shot down.

If you're quitting and changing games, I might suggest you splurge and simply throw out a farewell party in your old game. Have fun.
