    Simplicity over complexity, time to change.

    We know the game has been very limited and simple since the start, Yoshi told us it's because this game is being played by a large number of people that is new to MMORPGs, but the game is almost a year old, and the easy content is already there.

    It's time to introduce the hybrid role Yoshi mentioned once, specialized stats, dangerous open world, more and better character personalization, horizontal gear progression(keeping the ilvl system, some players seem to like it)...

    The soft and slow start is already there, the safe part of the world is already there, the convenience systems like teleport and duty finder are there as well.

    It's time to start building the game you promised, it's time to cater to the experienced players. The expansion has been planned for a long time now, we don't know how it will be, but i'm not expecting a big change, this change should come with the updates that will come after the expansion, culminating it with the next one, 4.0.

    Believe or not a part of the player-base is actually playing a waiting game, they wait for the game to get better, some endure it and keep waiting, others get tired and leave, you have hooked half of the player base, so start hooking the rest, get our money and make a game we can call home.

    Now please, use this thread to list things you would like to see implemented after or with the expansion, don't post to say "i don't like it", if you don't like the idea of another poster, just leave a comment trying to turn said idea into one of your liking instead of rejecting it, also try to post every idea on different posts so ppl can like them individually.

    Hope we can leave some valuable feedback for the dev team.

    I would also like to see some complexity come back, but realistically we won't see it until the expansion. However, if they do not add the proper complexity we need in this game I will most likely start to lose interest.

    Hmm, I don't think Yoshi ever promised a lot of the stuff that you're asking for.

    That's not to say that the game can't be improved, but I don't want complexity being added just for the sake of complexity, and I certainly don't want a "dangerous open-world" because what that really means is zones where you just run away from everything. I didn't like those in FFXI and I wouldn't like them here. Being able to actually kill everything in the open-world is a hell of a lot more fun to me than having to MGS everything.

    So far, it looks like nin may have some complexity in the way they execute some of their abilities. I would like to see more of that in classes

    I would especially like to see more buff/debuff heavy classes and jobs..

    Teleporting should be limited to hubs, in the expansion zones.

    I would like to see more elites around that can trounce players if they aren't careful, making you have to pay attention, when you travel

    I would like to see open world areas that are meant for 4man groups or more.

    He did simplicity for the sake of simplicity in many areas of ARR, though.

    Ever played an RPG/MMO where you walked into a new area, saw the monsters, saw your gear/ability and thought "....i really shouldn't be here?" , but try anyway and get absolutely owned? I want that.

    I just basing my words on the old letters from the producer, for me what we have now is not the the game Yoshi tried to sell us back then, the game is still far from the image he gave us. I know he didn't mentioned some of the things i posted, but he said he would listen to the player-base, and there are more threads asking for this kind of content.

    I agree with you in one point, i don't want complexity just for the sake of it, i want it to improve the game, the fully scripted battles and stat-driven gear progression leaves no place for strategy and get boring soon, this what i want to address by introducing more complexity into the game.

    About dangerous open world, it shouldn't be on a place where everyone need to go for quest or story missions, i'm talking about dangerous places in the open world where one is willing to go, may be to gather, or farm mats, may be to look for rare fates that drop minions or items, these places could hold quest related to lore, i'm just talking about places you're not forced to explore.

    For the helpless ppl:

    What i want is content to please everyone, i'm not trying to steal your game.

    Now, you're totally free to hold these opinions, and truthfully there is nothing fundamentally wrong with it, but wouldn't you like to have something with a little more complexity? Something to give the game more depth and engagement so the game becomes even more involving so you don't get bored of it?
