Preatorium tank question

Hello all,

Recently hit 50 on my WAR and love it. Going for pally next.

I tanked Prae for the first time yesterday and had a question. The party was almost all newbs, so I gave advice where needed and they seemed appreciative. My question is this: When skipping the mobs and hitting the transporters near the beginning, I died because it wouldn't let me use the transporter because "you are under attack." This happened twice. The third time, while still under attack, it let me through. What is the trick here, because it kind of seemed random?

If you get hit before the teleport "triggers", it cancels. If you're lucky and you dodge or something, you can get through despite being under attack.

Usually what I'll do is just kite the enemies away from the teleport and then sprint back up to it. If you're playing with a KB/M, the numpad 0 is your "activate" button by default, so clicking on the object and then mashing 0 helps get through ASAP. The first one should never really be a problem, but the second one can be tricky. Sometimes one of the claw enemies will stun you as you're kiting, or a healer will heal you or someone will pop a CD causing the enemies to run to the teleport rather than follow you away. It's usually just faster to die at that point, and take the shortcut.
