Action bar cursor difficult to see in bright areas

The action bar uses a faint yellow outline as a cursor to guide and help you select your action. However, when contrasted onto bright, daytime environments like thanalan, at times it can be nearly impossible to see where you are on the action bar.

Below is a snapshot of the difficulty in seeing the cursor in one of the areas while the sunlight is fading, which means it's even worse when it's a broad daylight environment.

A cursory glance really isn't enough to tell that it's in the last slot.



There are at least a couple easy solutions though.

1. Put an opaque background behind the action bar itself. The yellow highlight will easily stand out against a solid, grey or black background.

2. Change the color/size/shape of the cursor. A bold, deep-colored cursor with multiple arrows pointing at it like this http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/97/targeti.jpg/ is much easier to see than the current thin, faint, yellow circle.

Making this simple change would lend to an improved and easier to read UI. Thanks.

I agree with this, number one thing which gets confusing for me. Thanalan is the best example, targeting cursors and action bar are hard to distinguish against bright backgrounds!
