    Hi got my CRP to 50

    And now I want to start gearing him out.
    I bought the Artisan's claw hammer item level 70 no HQ ones but oh well. But what materia should I put in it?
    Should I buy straight IV materia?

    If I were you, I'd sell it and save the gil you would have spent melding it, to buy the mats to have a good crafter make you a HQ one.

    That is assuming you are aiming to do 4* crafts sooner or later, as you'll want the added stats the HQ gives.

    Hope you have money. You can skip Artisan mainhand and go straight for Supra with proper melds and your NQ Artisan offhand.
