Time: 2:20 AM MST
Frequency: Once (have not attempted to replicate)
World name: Malboro
Character name: Brine Gildchaff
NPC name: n/a
Monster name: Antelope Doe
Class/Level: PLD 50, BTN 50, GSM 50
Party or solo: No human party members, chocobo summoned.
In-game time: Between 5 and 7 AM Eorzea time.
Area and coordinates: South Shroud approx. 18 X 20 Y
Steps:
Summoned chocobo ~30 minutes prior to train while spiritbonding at Urth's Gift. (Item used: Gysahl Greens)
Teleported twice during this time frame, both times to Camp Tranquil.
Changed classes 3-4 times during this time frame, gathered some items while botanist, and crafted some items as goldsmith.
During this time frame, chocobo ranked up and learned two new skills. (Increased HP and Choco Kick, both from Defender skill tree.)
Upon expiry of the summon timer the chocobo remained in the field and could not be dismissed. (Attempting to dismiss resulted in an error message stating the action could only be performed when chocobo is summoned. Paradoxically, attempts to fix the error by re-summoning gave the error message that my companion was already summoned.) Attacking low-level enemies in an attempt to jolt the game into realizing the problem were unsuccessful. (Enemies attacked were level 23 antelope does, which would not grant experience to the chocobo.)
The time remaining in the Companion window changed to ??:?? out of 30:00 during this time.
Chocobo remained summoned after logging out and in, but after doing so the Withdraw command became available again. This was the only way to dismiss the chocobo I was able to find. At all times the party window remained open listing myself and my chocobo Kukuwe, and attempt to Leave or Disband from the Party Members window were unsuccessful.

This could have theoretically allowed my chocobo to remain on the field indefinitely (for obvious reasons I didn't test this), so I worry it could become an exploit. Please look into this.
