Playstation 3 Limitations going forward

about the limitation i have given, it was Yoshida himself that have answer the question of the beta tester while phase 1-2 about the limitation of the space, name and why the capitale was cut in two... feel free to flee reality, when information are given by the director and you try to ignore it it's fun.

the ps3 have 256 mo of rams, even the lowest pc have 1go.... 4 times this, believe me when i say this hurt the game in many way.
anyway, like said before Yoshida have stated that the ps3 will be supported until first expansion, but can't promise more of it. because they have big plan for the game and the memory limitation of the ps3 is not joke. the DX version was push back because it did take them more and more time of optimize the game on this old hardware, all of this for fullify a promise made by tanaka years ago.

other point, Yoshida, one more time, did said that the the Full DX11 version is by far a looot better, like he said, if they use all the DX11 option, even best pc will have hard time to run it.

ps3 will be dropped, that the smarter and the best choice for the future of FF14:ARR, if you think it will be like FF11 and the ps2, stop daydreaming!

ps: no one have said that the player from ps3 are not welcome, we only states a fact about hardware... SE have kindly offer to pass to ps4 version for free, not need to buy the game, not need to pay a fee for transfert... nothing to pay at all exept get the new ps4. i feel it's kinda rude to yoshida and it team to ignore all the effort they have done until now to please ps3 player... it's time to grow up and understand the reality of the hardware.

You sound as if the capitals were not cut in two during 1.0

They also moved the Inn NPC some months after the Inn came ingame from the adventure guild to the middle of Ul'dah, because in the subzone with the adventure guild were also the aetheryte, the city gates and the market. In result of this the Inn NPC got bugged until he moved to the other subzone where less people were. The doors to the adventure guild was also bugged because of too many people in the subzone. They fixed it with removing the doors so it would be open all the time.

You see, the Devs decided to use 2 zones for the capitals was more because they learned it from 1.0 instead of PS3 limitation. Sure, bugged NPCs because of overcrowded zones would have hit the PS3 harder, but also the PC.

Absolutely. I figured the two threads just deserved each other is all lol.

The bottom line is every system has a weakness(s) that some fan boy/girl will point to and say "A-ha! see SEE?! I told you!" Everyone will claim that PCs, PS3s, PS4s or any other system that this game might be on in the future is in some respect hurting the game. Even cloud gaming like Onliverequires some kind of hardware that inevitably will be called "obsolete" at some point. So any argument like this thread is pointless. I'm going to flag the OP of this thread as inflammatory now. Please no more dissing game systems of any kind.

Your right you didn't say it. You just implied it. Do you honestly think your first person to figure out out to say something without actually saying it? Your not fooling anyone. It's the oldest trick in any politician's playbook. I should know. I've lived in Washington D.C. my whole life. SE will drop PS3/PS4 or PC when or if they decide to and not before. SE might even bring on new systems half way through its lifespan (They did it with FF11 and the Xbox 360.) It all depends on the state of the game in the future which frankly, nobody can predict. As I said before, every system has a weakness that anyone can argue is "hurting" the game. But frankly, we are all gamers. Some have a favorite system while others have no preference. How about we just agree that we all love FFXIV: ARR? Let's keep the General Discussion of the forums social and upbeat. I have already been guilty in the past of not taking my own advice. Don't make the same bad choice I did.
