    The solution is to raise the rewards from dungeons and raids to make hunting meaningless. People who still want to hunt will hunt, but those tired of warping from zone to zone only to see an early pull and the mob dies before they get there will give up and do ACTUAL content.

    True, that is a viable solution to over hunting. As long as hunts are comparable to other content in reward, the demand will diminish.

    Overall issues of game balance, fairness, and gear are a whole big can of worms. SE really made a mess with this.

    They could always cap Sands/seals. Do people really hunt for myth? I thought they were doing it for the former.

    You're exactly right. They should have been capped. Otherwise the fuss over hunts wouldn't be so widespread.

    At first I didn't think this was a problem, but as time go on, I just realized that SE have just kill it own game!

    Like the OP said, the reward is way too high and it give everything without even a cap on it make The Hunt very unbalance.


    * Right now The Hunt give a massive reward for Myth and Soldier Tomb, people don't bother with Daily and Dungeon anymore, making Dungeon que even longer.

    * Unlimited Supply of Oil and Sand, no reason to do coil anymore with a lockout.

    * People withdraw from que in seconds when que for something and find someone post a <pos> for NM, nice keep seeing the message "A Party Member Have Withdrawn, Finding New Member." This go on for an hour.

    * Party Finder is more empty then ever, no one bother with it. Even if you put your own Party Finder up, once someone post a <pos> they left.

    * Novus Weapon Grind take a long time to get i110 Weapon. The Hunt can give you that i110 much easier.

    * And the biggest problem with The Hunt so far is that it is creating a Toxic Community. I laugh when I saw someone saying they like The Hunt because they are making friends from it. Right now every NM you find you have to hold it or you get Blacklisted, Whisper none stop, and none stop harassment from other Players. Even holding on an B Rank Mob with 50+ People is still not enough, someone will still doing the Name Calling when they arrive there too late.

    I'd decided not to even bother with Animus prior to hunts since I refuse to grind that many instances (don't like doing any at this point honestly, but I'm willing to do the few each book needs [at some point... maybe])
    The fact that hunts award myth and in the amount they do is the only thing that makes Animus and Novus viable for me.

    I haven't been doing enough to make worthwhile progress with soldiery, but that's my only worthwhile path to that gear as well. :-\

    Removing myth or soldiery from hunts won't send me back to the dungeons... It'll just mean I stick with my crappy gear indefinitely. Unless they buff the amount you get from chests and beastman quests by around 20x in return. That'd be alright as well...

    I think that maybe (just maybe) the Hunt might give slightly too much of everything. Did my first full night last week (4 hours) - 2000 Myth, 500+ Seals and capped Soldiery.
