Why does food not stack to 99?

I'm pretty sure it is all consumables. Potions do not stack to 99 either I think.

Nope, potions and ethers only stack to 12, but they're damned useless right now anyway so even taking up that 1 spot, they're a waste of space.

I'm a bit confused at what you are trying to say. You say you are in disagreement but then you say exactly what I had said about potions and ethers not stacking to 99, similar to foods.

Almost everything was changed from stacking to 12 to stacking to 99. Except for food. Why is this? I'm getting so much food from gathering leves (which must suck for CULs) that I don't know what to do with it all. I am going to have to open a stall in the grocer's ward or even NPC it. I'm not sure giving more food than one can use is a good idea, especially when it doesn't even stack to 99.

For the same reason on why food doesn't stack to 64 on Minecraft. It'd be a cheesecake run.
