Might be just me, but I feel uneasy about them adding more "individuality" and restrictions to the armory classes. I thought the point of the armory was to mix and match while jobs were for defined roles... /sigh

The classes are too similar right now, there's a difference between customisation and everyone being the same because all the skills are virtually identical.
I'm all for a more rigorous structure to allow people to do what they want whilst maintaining some boundaries. Take guild wars 2 for example, they're pretty restrictive on the number of skills you can pick, but there are various opportunities to customise and design your own builds etc.
I guess noone has gotten their hands on the actual magazine yet? Would be nice to see if there was any alleged artwork in there! Would love to see the concepts on the area reforms, although im not holding my thumbs for them to disclose that kind of info!
The armory system is dead and buried because of and by the players. The system is going to change, even though it keeps the name.Might be just me, but I feel uneasy about them adding more "individuality" and restrictions to the armory classes. You don't read well, they said they are releasing the new classes when the initial Jobs are BALANCED. This could take a long time after they are first released quite honestly.
Thanks for all the translation work. A lot of it seems pretty interesting to say the least.
long days and pleasant nights
TY Reinheart, you're the best. Can't wait to see more translations.
If you guys are in the US you guys can try sanseido (JP bookstore here in cali, they ship within US) the link is... ehh
sucks... i just checked and they took away ISBN search so you have to call and order http://www.mitsuwa.com/tenant/sanseido/eindex.php?s=3 if anyone wants it can try there.
Ohh this one should work another store here in cali that can get magazines from overseas. Kinokuniya http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/indexohb.cgi?AREA=03
ISBN for the magazine is 978-4-04-727431-0
just search that in the JP books or if you call Sanseido and they should be able to locate it by that. Or you can say Eorzea Tsushin 2011 Summer Vol 1
Hopefully they got it today... gonna call them later to see if they have and pick it up later.
