Wow is free to play up to level 20. Might as well make a subtlety rogue and see how that works. With summoner being a direct rip off of an affliction warlock you know the rogues will function similarly.

Pretty certain I haven't been playing WoW.

Let's just pretend that WoW wasn't the biggest MMO of its time that not only popularized the genre but also made various mechanics, designs, and structures a staple in the vast majority of future games, including FF14.

It would be cool if this discussion didn't even happen. Any objective person who actually played Afflock and SMN know they're the same thing. All the people who never touched WoW are the first to say otherwise.

Several tidbits of new information and a new video of the rogue and ninja were release just moments ago. It'll be a bit, but I'll see if I can get all the new information on the rogue and ninja charted up and posted here.

Actually, the only type of person that think they are the same are people who can't comprehend the actual difference that exists between both classes.

Some new nuggets of information:

Rogues/Ninja use poisons.
Poisons are not damage over time abilities. (Speculation: Debuffs)
Not a traditional positional attacker. Though they have backstabs.
Combo-system also not traditional. Depends on the mudras/ninjutsu used.
Rogue is not a starting class. Cannot be played with a brand new character. Requires at least a level 10 battle class.

Stated before, but just a reiterating:
Rogue/Ninja doesn't use ammo. Throw abilities don't require ammo.
No information on required classes for Ninja Job. No information on cross-class abilities, but Stealth will be exclusive to the Rogue and Ninja.

In previous video we saw Ninja do a move after a Mudra combo. At the time it seemed like this move could only be done when one receives a specific buff from the Mudra combo. But this latest video shows Rogue doing it out of stealth. This may mean that the buff granted by the mudra combo allows the ninja to use the "stealth moves" while not in stealth

I would say you and I watched different videos. The ninja stealth move was never based on the mudra in th old movie. Nor was the rogue move. If anything it seems like sneak attack with no positional to me
