The first quest could just be to find the guild in the first place, its pretty common to have to steal or find theives guilds to be part of them in games. then you get the I want to be a thief and weapon quests, and by the player finding the guild themselves it eases the lore break.

The quest names are already revealed. "So You Want to Be a Rogue" Level 1 - any class. "My First Daggers" Level 1 - any class. "Stabbers in Yer Fambles" Level 1 Rogue. So the standard first 2 are to direct you to the guild and unlock the quest like usual but Rogue gets a unique third level 1 quest for lore and EXP.

You guys are failing to take into consideration, that those who "create" as a class don't have to do the get the first weathered weapon quest. So, all classes have 3 level 1 quests. It flows like this: You have just created as a Rogue: My First Daggers, then Stabbers in Yer Fambles and so on. If you are an established character then it's: So you want to be a Rogue, then Stabbers in Yer Fambles. My first daggers and So you want to be a rogue are the same quest, just depending on when you became a rogue. So really, this only reinforces the fact that one should be able to start as a rogue at 2.4 or sometime after.

It was already explicitly stated that you need to be level 10 in a combat class to unlock the ability to become a Rogue.

Yes, it may have been stated. However that doesn't mean it hasn't been changed. Hell, even the quest names are "subject to change."

Well then, we will all find out when 2.4 drops.

Just to let you guys know, but the quests tend to be divided based on cinematics and pacing. New quests start or end depending on the objectives of the quest and how the story presents itself.

I speculated that the rogue seems like it could have more quests in the early game since players will need to meet a minimum level before switching to the class, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they'll pick up more experience and it could simply be done for story.

Anyway, there's some speculation on the internet that the "rogue AF" will be presented to players over the course of their 1 to 30 career as quest rewards that could be glamored on to higher level equipment. What do you guys think?

And for a bit of small talk, what abilities do you think the Rogue will pick up at level 15 and 30?

My guess is that the rogue would pick up stealth at level 15, and assassinate (the leap on the head and cut the throat ability) at level 30.
