I can use 2 MP recovery pots as WHM in Coil 2 fights when needed. DDs and tanks are able to use 2 attack boost pots. I think that's enough.

The stat potions are hella awkward, to be honest. Tiny duration but significant effect and if you really want to maximize your output you'll be using two of them per attempt on a high-level fight - which gets very expensive, very fast. Right now though they're in a situation where the short duration does make them optional even in second coil - I actually fear it'd hurt a lot of newer/poorer raiders if they were buffed into a "must have" power level. (At least raid-ready food lasts multiple wipes!)
HP/MP potions could definitely use a pick-me-up though, that much I completely agree on.

I agree that restorative potions should be looked at, and probably at least separated from the stat potions. The stat potions are hella awkward, to be honest. Stat potions, on the other hand, are entirely worth it. Maybe not at the individual level, but if your raid group of 4 or 5 dps all use a stat potion at the same time it becomes a pretty significant damage increasing CD. As for cost, yea the HQ X series is hella expensive, or time consuming to make. I use the mega-pots of STR on DRG and MNK, it's only 49 str but they are only like 80 gil, which is very, very reasonable IMO.

What I'd like to see is separate CDs for HP/MP pots, separate CDs for debuff pots(poison, paralysis etc...), separate CDs for the stat buffs(dex, str, etc...).
And at the CDs for the stat pots I'd like to see increased duration of the effects or shorten the CDs. For a 15s CD I'd say 2.5min on nq and 2 min on hq.
they should be useful.

One great way I think Stat Potions / Status Poisons could be adequately utilized is if there was an item use macro of some kind.

Actually, you can either throw them in your hotbaror write a macro for them. Not sure what you mean.
Edit: Sry, seems like the macro command for using items was removed.

Please, please this! My crosshotbar space is too precious to devote a whole slot to a single potion type - let alone several slots to several potions! And navigating to a menu to use a potion takes almost as long as the potion's duration, definitely not something that can be done in a pinch situation.
I wouldn't mind about CD if: we could use them on anyone, in and out of combat. The CDs would still affect the users, same with Gold Needles for Petrification, Phoenix Downs for a man down, Salts to wake up from sleep, etc..
I never been in PvP, hope these works there ^^
I'm using Spine drops for when the healers don't Esuna/Leech me when I'm paralyzed for longer than 15 seconds, same with Antidote. But you have to time them as the ridiculous CD kicks in.
Else like JayCommon, MP for Bard songs.
I've been trying to use Echo Drops when the beast (Catoblepas?) in Halatali HM Blinds us: not working >.< (you can esuna/leech but not many healers do it ^^)
I wonder why making Alchemist a class if it's usage is limited.. until now with the augmentation stuff of course..
And yes, I vouch for Macros.
Thank you SE.
