Oh I thought any of them could bring back Floss Silk, but it's just the botanist? Oh well, that sure sucks.

Might just be coincidence for me, but from my personal experience, only the botanist has brought it back. Could be possible the others have a chance too.

My Archer brought me a floss silk from a Venture XIV I think.. or maybe it was my botanist. Either way I have gotten one ^^;

EDIT: I'm basically locked out of the item to make the stuffed Goblin because I picked a Mining and Adventuring retainer instead of a Botanist? Really?

no all items are able to be gotten by all retainers no matter the class. now i will say i tend to have better luck using that class. like when i finally got my miner retainer to the gathering needed for the highest exploration i started getting more lightsteel plates (13's) while my battle class almost never got them but still did.

So... what I'm hearing is to not be overly concerned with 'which' of the lvl 50 venture types you send them on, or to just send them on Quick ventures.

there is no exclusive item in the quick ventures. the minions and certain mats can only be gotten from 18 hour ventures. but battle or fieldcraft class doesn't matter.

also the minions are in specfic like the rank 13 and rank 14 explorations they can only be gotten in their respective rank.

I'd have to disagree. Quick Ventures gave me the exclusive Gysahl Ring, no longer obtainable since 1.0

The Gysahl Ring can also be obtained from the i40 Field venture.

Same ol' hippogryph hq skins or hq coerl meat. The 4 silver allagan coins is ok better than nothing.
