I know, yet sometimes its only one mob thats disturbing and in this case the ability can be useful.

Yep, for large groups of mobs eluder skills don't help much, but while waiting for stealth skill to be implemented at least they offer some help I would assume. Since I have never actually used them myself I would like to know more about which mobs they work for so I can decide which of them is worth getting.
Have tested two of them now:
- Beastkin Eluder worked on Wild Hog
- Spoken Eluder worked on Ixali Fencer
Ya right now it looks impossible to do the Rank 36 Botanist Quest quest, first I have to get past a raptor and roesling, so I use the eluder on the roesling and run only to run into 3 more roeslings lol. I realy don't understand what they were thinking make it a single target one mob kinda ability it makes absolutely no sense. With the stealth skills in mind it would make a lot of sense just to revamp the eluders to make them more useful. If Eluder works in a way where I could run past a series of seedkin based mobs for a good bit I would prolly be able to make it to the destination without trouble and there would really be no issue. Though as it stands now I wish this was something they would implement soon lol.
The way I see it working is the mob targets you and if they sense you have "X-eluder" and it's related to you they auto-disengage and lose hate lol, at least that's how the eluders seem to work now so they just need to allow you to evade more then one single mob lol. Well off I got again to try and complete the rank 36 quest lol.

When I did that quest I just ran to the ! and it threw me into the instance, and I lost aggro on everything chasing me. Not sure if they've patched that but give it a try.
@Wynn: tyvm!!
Finally official explanation!! :-)
Good evening, Anonymoose!
Next to voidkin, soulkin probably rates as one of the most difficult taxonomical terms to decipher. For the most part, the regnum (kingdom) and class names used in Eorzea are fairly straightforward:
Bloodborn
Seedkin: cactuars, funguars, roselings, etc.
Vilekin: chigoes, midges, yarzons, etc.
Wavekin: megalocrabs, orobons, slugs, etc.
Cloudkin: dodos, chocobos, vultures, etc.
Beastkin: Wolves, moles, rats, etc.
Scalekin: basilisks, raptors, drakes, etc.
Spoken: Ixal, kobolds, sylphs, the 5 races of Eorzea, etc.
Bloodless
Ashkin: skeletons, wights, ghosts, etc.
Soulkin: spriggans, coblyns, doblyns
Forgekin: juggernauts, mammets
Transcendents
Voidsent: ahriman, ogres, imps, etc.
Soulkin are called such by Eorzean scholars because it is believed that while these creatures once had a will of their own, they now find their souls bound to another object or being, and are essentially being controlled by the invasive secondary force.
Sorry about the brevity, but I hope that clears things up a bit!
Now, back to work I go!
