Dear melee's. Stop complaining about the lack of heals, because your conjurers heals now cost more than 15% of their MP total and start carrying potions and equipping your own heals!
You see how that works both ways?
Melee's didn't get a nerf. They got a buff. Your abilities are no longer restricted by stamina, you've got auto-attack and you've got no MP increase on your weaponskills. We, on the other hand, received MASSIVE mp rises on our primary spells, making them very restricted use and absolutely NOTHING in return. Oh wait, Raise was lowered to rank 14, but has a 100mp cost and we won't have enough MP to cast it if we make any kind of attempt to prevent people actually needing ressurection.
Carrying ethers would be fine, but they restore rubbish amounts of MP that wouldn't even cover the cost of a single heal! We'd be popping them like M&Ms just to make a single Cure I.
I didn't mind them breaking down our spells to single cast and area effect. FFXI had the same, I can live with it here. I didn't mind them making us more careful about how we cast spells. I can live with that too. The jump is just too extreme here, and there's no counterbalance. No increase in MP totals, no potency increases and no benefits other than a massive climb in costs for doing the job we've been doing for ages.
Yes, im a grumpy mage and im glad to be. At least im one of the outspoken masses who makes any sense!
Playing an MMO should be more than just chugging potions like a diablo clone would have you do.
No one expects the miquote inquisition!!!
tbh keeping mp at a healthy level isnt difficult if you plan in your head how you intend to use it before hand. that way if something does not go to plan, you have spare mp to keep you safe
Lucinda x
I do equip my own heals and carry my own pots/ethers/foods because I'm not a bad player. Attacks like light strike now cost us MP and the MP increase on cure/sac means we ALSO cant spam heals on ourselves, and you know what? It's for the better. You received a massive MP rise on cures, that's it.Dear melee's. Stop complaining about the lack of heals, because your conjurers heals now cost more than 15% of their MP total and start carrying potions and equipping your own heals!

Play your class properly.
So who were the assholes who complained about the only 2 magic classes in order for this nerf to exist anyway?
Show me those idiots and I'll show you a reason this game is failing...
