Chocobo Training (stables) - QOL suggestions and current issues to be addressed ...

So after experiencing numerous issues with Chocobo Training (as it's not raising as of yet) plus seeing other being complained about I've decided to start this thread to keep track of all current issues plus to create a list of possible QOL improvements in the future.

    Current Issues:

    1. Unable to remove Stables (let's say in case FC want to relinquish land to be able to "upgrade" to larger plot) if somebody's chocbo is stabled. While it's not possible to discharge FC member with stabled chocobo this is pretty serious issue!

    2. If the chocobo has full XP at given level you're still able to "train" it using (and wasting) chocobo food and only after training you'll receive the message that chocobo is unable to gain any more XP (or it will gain less if it's close to the treshold). This should not be possible and notification should be displayed prior training commences to avoid wasting valuable food! (Also see QOL point 2. below.)

    3. There seems to be large inconsistency at the training timers for the same chocobos between different memebrs of the same FC. As an example - one FC member will train 2 chocobos, one of his own and one other. After training both displays 59 minutes of resting time. Then second member approaches the stables and is able right away to train both exactly the same chocobos. But not always. Sometimes different resting times are displayed for chocobos trained by other member at the same time and so on. It's quite confusing as it's impossible to actually rely in displayed timers and it makes any scheduling of regular traning fairly difficult. In general - it seems that currently you can train each chocobo at least twice withing the supposed 1 hour "resting" time - e.g. you can fully gain one whole level in about two days if you'd not miss a single training (1 traning gains 1% of full XP per level so hundred trainings are needed for one level and as you can do at least 48 a dy it's just 2 hours over to days).

    Suggested QOL Improvements:

    1. Please add option to have the Traning cut scenes dissabled permanently. While it might have been "entertaining" a few several hundreds times now it's getting slowly annoying to re-watch 3 same scenes over and over again when you're tryning multiply chocobos several times a day especially as you're unable to skip the cutscene before it loads up.

    2. In the Chocobo list please display current / total XP for each chocobo so A) wasting of the food could be avoided and B) we don't need to take chocobos out of stables to see how far the XP advanced. (See also next QOL point below.) You can even remove pretty much useless information from the list (the type and amount of actions learned) as atm it has no relation to chobo training in any way in case there would be no space to diplay all the info at the same time.

    3. Please allow us to access the companion menu even while chocobo is stabled so we can check on the XP progress without constat removal and re-stabling of the chocobos.

    4. Once the above (point 3.) would be possible please also diplay the last time the companion chocobo was trained, preferably also by whom, with what food and what XP it has gained and the time till next training in the Companion menu.

    5. Please display both XP gained as well current total and max XP (maybe also with % progress or bar) after training so it's easier to see how long before the particular chocobo would need to be taken out of stables to raise the level and allow for further training as well as to avoid wasting of the food before the issue 2. in above list is resolved.

    6. Please display both Last type of food fed to each chocobo as well as (if any) current favourite food in Stable chocobo list to make it easier to track which chocobo should receive which food.

    7. If possible display also last time the each chohobo was fed and by whom in addition to current resting / time to next training values.

    8. Please add option for the chocobo owner to allow or dissallow "training" / feeding by other FC members with relevant access rights - mainly to avoid feeding with "incorrect" food when you're aiming for increased bonus in specific category.

    9. Please add option (configurable in settings) to display warning pop-up when you attempt to train chocobo with stable in only fair or poor condition explaining tha less XP will be gained if you proceed with training to avoid training accidentaly in such status and gaining less XP. (YES - it did happen to me already twice ...)

    10. Please add counter to the Stable menu to show either when the last cleaning was perfomed or (preferably) when the next state change will happen so we can "schedule" the next cleaning as soon as possible.

    11. Some kind of in game pop-up message (similar to when you sell item on MB) when somebody else trains your chocobo or when you're approaching the treshold for level up would help as well.

    12. For large(r) FCs - some kind of option to search and / or sort chocobos in ther stables instead of scrolling through numerous pages of them would be great improvement as well.

If you have experienced any other issues or have some more improvement and QOL suggestions please post those in this thread and I'll try to keep the main post updated with your additions.

["Under construction" - I'll be adding more points from my own "list" as well as based on your comments]

I'd also really love the game just not proceeding if a chocobo is at full XP. Don't let me train it and don't take my food, just tell me the XP is full.

Regarding the "inconsistent training timers": The in-game text explains that "Chocobos react positively to new stimulation" which lets other people train your chocobo even while it's resting for you, so maybe it's bugged or maybe the timer doesn't count down if it's taken out of the stables.

Edit: Nevermind, the training-at-full-XP thing is so you can give stat buffs to maxed out chocobos, so I guess yeah just let us know their current XP / XP till next rank.

In my case it's without taking choco out - I've already tried to take the choco out of stables and it's not affecting or reseting the timers.

Ahh - totally forgot about that - good point! Either way - we should know the current XP and receive the warning prior training that (none or only partial) XP can be gained if we proceed.
