    Bard Silence / Macro Help??

    I'm such a noob with this macro stuff and what I'm asking for may not even be a macro. I'm seeing in the chat box when another bard uses silence. I think this is very helpful and would love to try something like this myself. I have zero idea how to do this, I mean none. Is this even a macro? Do all macros show up in the chat box, assuming no since I don't see that many. How can I get my bard to to share in the chat box that I just used silence? I've looked this up and I'm afraid I'm what you might call technically challenged and it all seems to be overly confusing stuff. Can anyone point me in a direction to get started on this? I'm on ps4 in case that matters. Appreciate any helpful feedback and apologies for the sill question.

    I use:

    /macroicon "Blunt Arrow"
    /p Blunt Arrow(Silence) -> <t> Just used it.
    /ac "Blunt Arrow" <t>

    The Blunt Arrow in the /p line is auto-translated. I included silence in parenthesis because not everyone knows what Blunt Arrow is.

    Appreciate the quick reply, will print and bring home to test out tonight. Sadly though I haven't a clue what to do with this helpful info. I'm assuming I'm going to input this info into the macro menu some place, which then creates a new Icon Button??. But where I'm getting cunfuzzled is what next? Does this create a new "button" that I will use to replace my current Blunt Arrow button (currently R2/Up). I will be testing for sure, but I'm also scouring the internet for some macro guide for idiots. So far, no luck.

    Yeah you basically open the macro menu (can just type out /macros and hit enter) and then you select one of the 100 or so macro's. Select the typing area, input that info. Select the icon that was created (the one on the left in the big patch of 100 possible macros) and drag/drop it onto your hotbar (or however you place skills on PS3/4). You don't need to have Blunt Arrow on your hot bar anymore now that you have it in a macro.

    That last point is a helpful thing to remember for cross-class abilities as well. As long as you have an ability selected in the abilities window you don't need to have it on your bar if it's in a macro.

    You could make a macro that has all of your buffs in it like:
    /ac "Buff 1" <me>
    /ac "Buff 2" <me>
    etc

    And only place the one macro on your hot bar and not each individual skill in order to save space.
