Just as with everything else, a vocal minority complains constantly. The silent majority are out there having fun.

I dunno, there have been arguments, blackballing, discussions and articles devoted to bring in more changes for hunt.
It has to mean something when it makes so many so angry or just indifferent to their fellow. FFXIV shouldn't be the type of game where we want to treat each other like dirt.
The problem is that the Western MMO players are a-holes, you can't fix that in games no matter what you do. Any game with open-world non-instanced content will have problems like this.I dunno, there have been arguments, blackballing, discussions and articles devoted to bring in more changes for hunt.

Shouts are the most visible, but ironically, the people fighting there could well be the least social/communicative. You don't see the 384 people in my 3 hunt LSs not raging, or the hundreds of others in the zone just keeping calm and carrying on.
Of all my LSs and of all the parties I've joined, either through friends or the PF, I haven't seen drama. Some disappointment when they miss the 5th mob in a row or something, but nothing close to a ragefest. At worst, "I'm going to take a break and do this later when there's less people."
These forums (and admittedly /shout) might leave you thinking hunts are this terrible thing and everyone doing them is an a-hole cheater, but really that's only a few pixels in the huge picture.
