I'm part of a large hunt linkshell, and I very much enjoy the experience. My linkshell is huge, and we communicate very effectively about NM locations, but we're absolutely against early pulling. In fact, we kick linkshell members who are caught pulling early.

While I don't blame parties who just run up and pull NMs without waiting for more people, I also think it's kind of a D-bag thing to do. The system is set up now so that if you're in a party, and you're there at the start of a battle, you'll get full credit for the kill like 99 percent of the time. There's really no reason to pull early except for 1) impatience or 2) being a D-bag. I understand that some people want the thrill of "low-manning" content, but let's be real... the vast majority of early pulls simply result in the horde arriving slightly late, meaning you don't really get to low-man anything (all that really happens is a lot of people get deprived of myths/seals, and most of them aren't the idiots crying/screaming in shouts).

B rank early pulls are inconsequential. S rank fights kind of suck for everyone already, seeing as how the mob isn't even visible to most people.

For A rank pulls, though, there's really no good reason to pull them early, unless you're just really trying to be an Eorzean Hipster.
