I like hunts too. It's much more fun than spamming Fates.

Just as with everything else, a vocal minority complains constantly. The silent majority are out there having fun.

I dunno, there have been arguments, blackballing, discussions and articles devoted to bring in more changes for hunt.
It has to mean something when it makes so many so angry or just indifferent to their fellow. FFXIV shouldn't be the type of game where we want to treat each other like dirt.

The problem is that the Western MMO players are a-holes, you can't fix that in games no matter what you do. Any game with open-world non-instanced content will have problems like this.I dunno, there have been arguments, blackballing, discussions and articles devoted to bring in more changes for hunt.

Shouts are the most visible, but ironically, the people fighting there could well be the least social/communicative. You don't see the 384 people in my 3 hunt LSs not raging, or the hundreds of others in the zone just keeping calm and carrying on.
Of all my LSs and of all the parties I've joined, either through friends or the PF, I haven't seen drama. Some disappointment when they miss the 5th mob in a row or something, but nothing close to a ragefest. At worst, "I'm going to take a break and do this later when there's less people."
These forums (and admittedly /shout) might leave you thinking hunts are this terrible thing and everyone doing them is an a-hole cheater, but really that's only a few pixels in the huge picture.

LOL, I've done anything but "make up some rules." I even said point-blank that I don't blame people for pulling early. You made up some rules, and expect others to follow or they're a bad person. Check yourself.
Personally, I just think it's often pointless (at best) to pull A-rank mobs early. No need to put any additional words in my mouth. My view is extremely straightforward.
If anything, people who pull early are the ones who are rebelling against the social norms being created by the greater server populations... which makes YOU the one who's making up rules. Perhaps you'd best check yourself?![]()

I didn't put any additional words in your mouth. By referring to players who don't pull when you want them to as "D-bags" or "impatient", you make them sound like the bad guy. You're right, that is straightforward. I follow the rules the game has laid out, not what an idiotic "social norm" has created. NMs are in the Open World. You can pick them up whenever you want, with whoever you want, however you want, sans cheating. Hunt LS' are a foolish attempt to put a control on something that shouldn't be controlled, and frankly contribute to the net loss of interest in the content.LOL, I've done anything but "make up some rules." I even said point-blank that I don't blame people for pulling early.

I very much like the hunts. I have spent a whole day doing hunts just for the glamor pieces. And I'm on Ps3 so you can just imagine just how many of those hunts I actually saw xD. That doesn't bother me that much since you can AoE around the place and still still hit the hunt (even once) and get full reward. And I don't really mind missing a S rank (missed 4 yesterday T-T) because I have other stuff to do like getting atma, T6 practice, frontline grinding, leveling other classes, etc. And I have found the most hunts while doing those other things. And I believe it was suppose to be that way. (finding NM while you do other things)
