Thread: "Spoiler" Expected location for end of 2.5X before 3.0

I don't have much to say but was thinking this and didn't see a place to put this. I have a feeling due to the huge event/landmark in the game and having yet not being able to go to it, I think the Midgardsormr/Airship(forgot the name) structure will where we will end before the xpac. It is the source of the gate that broke and released the Primals back into the world, Midgardsormr was the Guardian of the Lake, I think there is a seal or some sort of object of great import that we will eventually be led to. I am thinking something like the cave of the Espers in FFVI or something.

I... sort of doubt it, as they haven't really gone back to that particular aspect of the plot in the 2.x storyline yet outside of a few kind of offhand mentions.

I really hope they /do/ go back to this eventually though, because dear lord are there some unanswered questions about exactly what went down there...

Exactly, as your second sentence states . I might say that in 2.4 we will see the corruption in Ishgard and learn that the Primals may not be as bad as we think, as was proven with Ramuh, and maybe even more with Shiva. They may point us to go there in 2.5 maybe? But here is to hoping we get some answers from this in the future.

Well, Primals are shown to be escaping from the impact site in the 1.0 opening cutscene, so there was a connection (at least originally -- who knows what all has been retconned in ARR). The Allagan ability to enslave Primals (like Bahamut) and use them as batteries hints that perhaps there was some kind of ancient mechanism under the lake as well. Perhaps we can do some more Allagan archaeology down there someday.
