    PvP still zero fun

    hello

I hate PvP in this Game, but I love this Game. I personally couldnt wait for the new patch with the new Battleground because the Wolfsden was just a waste of time, and I love PvP and until this patch PvP wasnt existent in this Game, after the Patch the disappointment didnt dissapear.

For following Reasons, the fights are absolutly boring, you just rotate your skillcombo and thats it. There is no chance like to actually fight like in WoW or Tera, where you have to react to spells for your Enemy to counter them etc. And thanks to the latency as a meele you are following your enemies and try to hit them but.. you cant. On my monitor I am standing IN the person and on my screen flashes the message I am out of range dafaq?

And thats just the Tip of the Iceberg, the waiting time for a invite is horrible, I tried wolfsden many times, you have to wait for like 30-50min for an invite. Then again you have to wait until 12 peoples accept or you just go back in the queue.

And thats just a guess but I dont think PvP is balanced. I dont think a Paladin could ever kill a Healer. Again for the Reason, Paladin deals zero damage and he easily outruns you to heal himself.

You cant even duel with other Players?? I mean common thats like the most wished feature for, where you can test your new Gear or new Strats. You need a place to train against other players where you can chose against whom you wanna duel. Without this stupid queue. Open PvP is completely missing.

I am just saying as a past Gladi in WoW I really miss some good old PvP in this Game, but on the other side I dont think they gonna change anything because they would have to change the entire combat system. But maybe some small improvements like completly diffrent skills for pvp, the option to duel with other players, open pvp, guildwars etc.

Well, i'll admit that Paladin are REALLY underpowered and dont really deal much damage, period.

But quite frankly, Final Fantasy games will never be PvP-oriented games, there's just no room for it. But they're trying to implement atleast a little bit of it. That the rude youngsters from WoW are dominating the higher tiers of endgame and PvP just makes everyone anoyed and snappy. When we got frontlines, we wanted to go enjoy it, not be shouted at by someone "taking lead" and bossing people around trying to exploit tricks.

The real problem with PvP not being any fun isnt so much that the game isnt trying to make it fun. It's simply that with today's attitude that people have in the game, they're making it not fun. The players and the playerbase are at fault here, not the game mechanics. Although healers are rediculously overpowered in PvP yeah.

you can deal pretty good dmg as a paladin too, but you have to get the i80 sync bis, meaning ditch acc(you need only 363), parry and vit accessory
the new i80 items from new hard dungs and some wolfram will do the job

I've done FL twice as a WHM and just didn't have fun. As I suspected I was constantly interrupted while casting. The long cast time/global cooldown really shows in PvP.

Well, I can't speak for melees or healers, but I can say that for bard front lines is ridiculously fun. I actually look forward to my soldiery grind. I use my full range of abilities in both duels and larger encounters, and find the PvP skills to be useful but not overpowering. Healers are by far the hardest to take down, followed by tanks. The strategy emphasis in front line is also good fun, especially with 3-way combat. Lots of replay ability here, and the decision to exclude PvP gears and cap at i80 was brilliant and has made the game far more accessible.

I was thinking in going Bard next time I step into it for the reasons you cite. You have the best of both worlds - range and instants!

The only problem I have is that this makes PvP gear redundant considering FL is basically what you would call a battleground in another game and those are usually more popular than arenas for most players. There should be time taken to tweak FL before any other maps are introduced as they just suffer from the same systematic issues the old map does.
