There are A LOT of customizable settings in this game. How it looks, what your buttons do, filters for things...

It's kind of daunting, but it is worth it to sit down for a while and go through them to see if there's anything that would help your style.

Here's what I've set up. Some things I like about it and some things I'll consider changing. I have set R1 tap to toggle between just hotbar 1 and 2 when weapon drawn. I also turned on the feature where you can hold the two triggers together to bring up extra hotbars.

    Set 1, L2:

    Set 1, R2:

    Set 2, L2:

    Set 2, R2:

    L2 + R2:

    R2 + L2:

Hope this helps, and any pro tips will be welcome

i use the dual trigger for me, r2 and l2 pop up third crossbar. macros help remove buttons and clear space for me mostly and you can look at your premade macros to kind of see them

    macros

    /ac mercy stroke <t>
    /ac heavy swing <t>
    /ac tomahawk <t>

removes two buttons, tomahawks from far, mercy strokes first chance

    for pvp i have
    /ac overpower <t>
    /ac foresight <me>
    /ac bloodbath "
    " vengeance "
    " featherfoot " etc

how that works is if overpower is available it overpowers, if you button mash or just click again it cycles cooldowns, always overpowering first when up

    /ac provoke <t>
    /wait .5
    /ac tomahawk <t>

right trigger i go my combo, dual trigger my wrath abilities so i can keep r held. so just r trig i have heavy swing macro and the butchers block combo with maim on triangle. dpad buttons have my storms path and eye with a macro for minor buffs. L trigger i have sprint as tri, my stun as square and overpower and provoke macro with my big buffs on the dpad. dual L trigger brings up my intro macros, potions and a mount and my pvp actions. been tweaking it quite a bit to get pvp mixed in and it seems to work

    oh and
    /macroicon "skill name"
    gives the macro an icon

if your skillname is two words capitalize and use " "
    so
    /macroicon "Heavy Swing"

you can even set up a horizontal crossbar and see all your cooldowns above your cross hotbar in char config, hotbars

Nice tip! That's a good point, I think I'll use one of those. Nice to have some place you can always peek at to remind you of what's ready and what's not. Then you can switch sets and hit whatever buttons are necessary to do what you need.

    I like this idea.
