Getting 5 sands of time in one week. I say its pretty broken and ruins the game. People are already rocking full Elite GC set.
By the time of 2.1, you could farm myth all day to gear out and be just as good as anyone who run the first binding coil (minus allagan weapons that were bumped to i95). It's a catch-up patch and the dev team always intend to give non-raiders more way to get oil and sand. Also, you are still limited by soldiery cap so it's not like you can go ham and full i110 for every single class.
There's nothing surprising about it. It is a little bit "too good" but to claiming that it "ruins" the game is just a bit melodramatic don't you think?
It's not always about the end reward. These features are designed with a certain pace in mind. The accelerated pacing of obtaining rewards from hunts far outweighs other content. I know I'll be right, because SE will more than likely make changes to the systems rate of reward.By the time of 2.1, you could farm myth all day to gear out and be just as good as anyone who run the first binding coil (minus allagan weapons that were bumped to i95). also Myth still had a hard cap in 2.1
except there was a weekly cap.............
Except the people who can't do T6 or T7 in 100 will still not be able to do it in 110 since its not about stats its about following simple mechanics. Same reason people who are in 100 gear now still cry that divebombs and twisters are too hard. Because pushing the up arrow when a cast bar appears is too hard.
Haven't heard anyone praise making the gear you gain with the pvp currency worthless... But ok.
No point in pvping unless you like filling your armory chest with more worthless gear.

Some people derive a thing called "fun" from competition. Also, desynth.
It's funny I tend to agree that the Sands and Oils should not have been on the hunt vendor at all, but when I see dour faced posters who share that opinion I sort of regret agreeing with them. I wish they hadn't done it, but I still don't see the sky falling from handing out a few loot upgrade tokens.
