    There are 3 type of reward:
    1. Casual stuff like almost obsolete ilvl90 equip and choko reset stone

    3. Upgrade items - namely sands and oil. Only 2 items. Subject to soildiery cap.
    No real gear, no raid class weapons, there are literally no actual rewards for hunts but the ability to upgrade only your existing soldiery gear.
    You can't even get something like ilvl100 gear for you offspec, if you don't have free soldiery, you can't get *anything* that will upgrade you, from hunts.

    Casuals don't care about hunts. I have a social LS where there only like 3-4 people who do hunts and rest are doing their usual routine because they are either too casual, do catch-up after a break or uninterested in such massive investment of time. On other hand i have raiding FC where people actively hunt. But... they hunt for 3 hours, raid for 3 hours, some craft, do roulettes and other typical activities. Only a very small portion of people, counted in tens at max, do nothing but hunts.

Still got all my seals and tomes from it.

    the stuff that have the same ilevel like the raid are available via hunt, you get soldiery and the sand/oil/memo... all you need for get your hand on i110 stuff. indeed soldiery is caped, however it's don't make false the point that people don't need to do dungeon or raid for get a very good stuff.

    other point, the myth gear is at ridiculous price, when you see that 1 Rank S monster reward is enough for buy 2 part of myth armor... why do dungeon that drop i80 gears. with the zergfest even if you are i 50 you can get point.

    the hunt is ruining the game because it create a huge inbalance in the way stuff are given. when a feature make other feature pointless, there the dungeon with the craft loot that drop more than gear. it's a trouble of balance.

    more important and it's something people seems to miss, we do all pay our sub for play the same game. but actually the hunt only reward a few... that too a trouble of balance. why create a feature that will only reward a few? it's silly. you can say, well the raid reward few people too, i will say, they have to work for it, you don't work for the hunt. worst you don't even play most of the time.

    the question is, do SE want to keep people or keep player. because this feature is not playing, it's most of the time waiting afk or using cheat. it's not fun, is not a challenge,...

    by the way, why the casual don't care of hunt? because the casual play for the fun, the hunt is not fun, it make a looooot of drama of it, a lot of trashtalk. then, the casual flee this content. and believe me, a lot of hardcore use the hunt, since they haven't a lot to do outside this.

    no it don't work as intended... remember me how many people is needed for kill rank B and A monster? and how many people attack them actually? only rank S are working as intended (partially actually)
    the hunt is a broken system not adapted to the game, and try to say the inverse is only flee the reality. we don't have to make system where people wait for them whole ls for come to pull at the right time for hope a lot of people on the 40-60 people present will get the credit of a monster means to be killed by.... 4 PLAYER!

    at the moment people use means for ignore how the feature was means to be done, we are into a broken system... a failling one actually will be a better wording.

    Remove myth and soldiery from hunts, make 1 weekly target kill per week. All the problems solved.

    I said nothing about it working as intended or not, because frankly I don't really care at this point as players have made the rules. All I said was that even if 50+ people are swamping an A mark, it's still really easy to get credit if you're there before the pull. And that does happen when hunts are organized. When they're not, everyone misses out on seals they could be getting because people pull earlier and don't share info.

    It's not even the best gear...

    A mix of that and High Allagan is the "best gear". For jobs like White Mage where the entire left side is practically High Allagan for best in slot, it's even less the case.

    Either way, no self respecting coil group would take in a player with full 110 Soldiery gear and 0 High Allagan gear. And walking around in full soldiery gear is the opposite of "leet" lol...

    TLDR: Who really cares about them giving away the welfare gear, they did it for 2.1 also. The real raiding gear still requires actually being good at the game.

Good luck even trying to get a hit in. The mob, even with their supposedly 'boosted' HP, will die within moments of being spawned.     Yes you need to best fast, because sometimes someone pulls early and everyone burns the mob down within minutes. But usually (at least when I am hunting) people wait 3 minutes, and that's totally enough. Everyone wants people to wait, but that's just not going to work. It's good to be in at least 2 linkshells, helps a lot. Anyways, maybe when the daily bills are increased (soon i hope) people will not complain that much. Hundreds of "Hunting Sucks"-Threads are annoying. SE will do something soon, it is really not needed to create more threads.

    Hunts should be like CT. Reward just enough seals that you can get 1 item per week. The daily and weekly hunts should give a bit less than needed so people still hunt besides clearing the daily and weekly objectives. And only your weekly and daily Goals have Myth and Strat as drops. Wouldn't empty the Open World but regulate it maybe to a normal level.

    As a white mage, I'm considering not wasting any sands on left side... I do have scholar as well which would love to get unweathered left side, but I almost never use it...
    I was going to before 2.3 just so I could dye the daystar set, but then 2.3 arrived with the divine harvest set, and I settled for glamour. Really love that set. Just missing hand and feet pieces now.

    As a side-note... Thyrus Novus is within reach! Should be able to complete it tonight :3

    Nothing beat Trials roulette for Mytho grind speed and Expert roulette with quest is easiest and fastest way to obtain Mysterious map (and also it provide you with soildiery cap for a week).
    Yes, hunts are quite versatile in a number of thing you obtain, but they are nowhere near the most efficient way of doing so, and if you do not need seals anymore, there are no point in hunting, you can do the same with less efforts.

    You don't need to do 90% of other content including hunts and dungeons to get even better equip - just do Coil2 and that's all. Ban Coil2 and move half of the stuff elsewhere? Content should reward you, and it's good if it reward you based on dedication and time spent. Hunt is structured to be competitive PvE content, it's assumed that the better you are at competition, the better rewards you got.

    Yes, yes. But unfortunately, S rank on 48h respawn timers, have a huge comptetion and you usually will get almost nothing if try to react on its spawn (getting party, getting ported etc).
    Instead, you can get 100-200 mytho from 15 mins Trials roulette. I better go to daily hunts and get item in 3 days that go to hunts to get ilvl90, it's too much trouble for such reward.

    I don't see how hunting makes "other features pointless". Coil is still much more relevant, farming soldiery/mytho is better do in other places.
    Upgrading gear to ilvl90? we have Coil1 for this, very easy to do, requires nothing.

    Coil only rewards a few. Why not complain about it? It the same type of content - at this point of time only dedicated will get a loot. As this is a catch-up patch, you only need dedication and not a static party to succeed. Wait for 2.4 when it'll be further scaled down for less dedicated and more casual crowd.

    You know, wiping in T9 for weeks is not fun at all also. It creates drama, people leaves, a lot of trashtalks etc. It's just usually enclosed behind the closed doors, it doesn't mean it not exist.
