    The sad truth is that many animes have better stories than most of the blockbusters the movie industry released in the last years.

    Also, anime is a form of art/culture in Japan, just like classical music or renaissance pictures.
    Just because it's a rather young form of art/culture doesn't mean it's trivial.

    Ehh, Berserk, from about 17 years ago.
    Everything seems like the same thing. Someones really a *insert animal here* in disguise. X has to keep training to be stronger than Y, yet there are an infinite amount of Z's all over, stronger than both.
    Or lots of zoom ins and just Ehhh, hmmmph. Sugoi!!!!
    Then add 30 mins of eating.
