    Holding back hunt mob mechanics so the innocent can survive? Seriously?

    Seriously? I saw this question and Immediately shook my head.

    Q22: Are there any plans to add mechanics to the elite marks similar to those that bosses use?

    A22: We are able to maintain balance in dungeons because of the specific battlefield you fight the boss in. If we do the same for elite marks, it might end up even killing the players that do not want to participate in the fight.

    If you don't want to get killed, maybe avoid the massive S rank monsters? Adding some danger to the world IMO, isn't a bad thing at all. I don't enjoy being able to go wherever I want without the slightest risk of ever being killed.

    Seeing gatherer's complain about getting killed by hunt mobs also makes me laugh. You mean you might actually have to use that "Stealth" ability if you were given? You mean there might actually be some slight difficulty in gathering that resource? My god I wish some of the complainers had to mine for adaman ore in Ifrit's Cauldron.

    Back to the topic, if adding better mechanics to hunt mobs will make the fights more difficult and enduring I don't think SE should hold off because some innocent bystanders might be killed, especially when there isn't a death penalty in this game (sorry, slight gear wear doesn't count).

    Can we make them spawn on top of the summoning bell in the cities to kill all the AFKers so I can click on the bell more easily?

    i was SMH at almost every single response to "hunts" hey look at that giant mob of players fighting odin/beh LETS RUN STRAIGHT INTO IT!!!!

    I think what he ment was the server slashing zantetsuken, but really can we not think of another, not so zone killing mechanic?!?!? Throw in a 5-way landslide and that ALONE would buy people more time to get to the mob for credit since people will not be zerging the shit outta the mob and instead dodging.

    it's basically impossible to get mechanics in all the lag anyway.

    the only way to get fun mechanics is to limit the number of participants.

    I remember in 1.0 there were certain areas of the Black Shroud that you just didn't go to. There were giant level 50+ Morbols that could one shot you with just a sideways look. I remember imagining what was beyond that area and why there were so many Morbols standing guard. A nesting grounds? A secret cave? Who knew? I never found out what was there, but that was one of the really awesome things about 1.0 - there really was a sense of danger. You could die at any time if you weren't paying attention to your surroundings. That's what made the open world fun and interesting! Now it feels the open world is just a pretty waiting room while waiting on your next queue to pop.

    You don't need to include Twintania battle mechanics on the S ranks, but I think that making the world wild and dangerous again would be a step in the right direction.

    Regarding using stealth to avoid being killed by hunt mobs, you know that won't work with anybody that doesn't have stealth 3, right?

    Even outside the starter zones, anyone remember the high level Pieste that oneshotted anyone who wasn't careful just outside Ul'dah, I really miss him.
