FFXIV Resolution on PS4

Hi, I'm curious as to what resolution the game plays at on the PS4.

I have my setting in the game set to full HD (I noticed switching between full hd and not full HD only changes the UI size and not the actual resolution)

The reason I'm asking this is because when I'm playing a game that I know is 1920 x 1080 and a friend joins a party, I get a notification on the top left of the screen, but when playing FFXIV, that notification is noticeably larger - this would make me assume that the game is in fact running at a lower resolution.

Has anybody else experienced this with FFXIV?

Is a dev available for comment?

The game is in full HD / 1080p resolution if the PS4 and TV are setup correctly. Most TVs and monitors can also display information about the current resolution used by connected device and some more details so that would be the easiest way to find out. Finally - some PS4 games (ARR included) are taking in consideration PS4's settings of the display area for displaying HUD and other interactive elements which is by default not covering the whole screen.

If the ui size is bigger than the resolution indeed was downgraded.

When I lowered the resolution that's what happened and I definitely noticed the difference.

PS4 Version= Full 1080p HD at 60FPS

It's not consistent 60fps, it goes between 30 and 60 usually in the 40-50 range. Also there's an option to play in 720p or 1080p.

In standard configuration, the ui elements are sized bigger than in the pc version. Except the flying texts, you can size them equal to pc version.

You can adjust every item size even UI elements.

I believe he's talking about the PS4 UI not the XIV UI, as in "So and So has joined your party" (As in the Chat Parties for Headset communication) is Bigger in XIV vs. Other games, Making him believe that XIV is not running at 1920x1080.

I could be Wrong in this Assumption, but i figured id Clear it up if thats what he was going for.
