You guys realize you can completely turn off all the animations and colorful spell/action sprites for other players... right? I won't run CT or ST without during just that, because I like to see the fights instead of an endless wave of bright, flashy colors.

the best way to see the mobs is to stay a couple of yalms away from the boss - the rendering priority kicks in and it shows the boss - after the kill many players appear out of thin air where the boss was >.>

From what I understand it is a gridding issue. If you are in the same grid as the S Rank it has priority, but if you are not in the same grid (which is true more often than not if you are a ranged dps) the game will first render stuff in the same grid as you (like other players and their pets) before rendering things outside the grid (such as the elite mark).

I play on PS4 and I've only had two instances in which the hunt NMs didn't appear, but then nobody could either, must've been a bad glitch since it was on a slope. If you get right up to where the mob is, it should appear. I find that after it's pulled, it instantly disappears on me, so as I'm running towards its general direction I'm also target scanning for it right where all the holys are goin off lol I tend to only see the name the majority of the time since the actual NM is lost in a cloud of player actions. I'm on Excalibur also, which is a heavily populated server.

This. Anyone complaining about spell/skill effects of other players needs to go into their settings and turn them off. Completely on you.

Also, I see even S-ranks fine most of the time on PS4. Then again...I'm in melee range because I've found the best way to get credit (even solo) is to load up on STR accessories, turn on Defiance, pop Unchained, Internal Release and Berserk and go to town on the NM.
