Dalamud strilkes a second time?

Interestingly enough, the 'Answers' theme that hauntingly played in the background during the final events of FFXIV 1.0 is in the music files for v2.3 with a 'Season' tag on it. I think something big is going to happen around the end of August.

I doubt the 'Dalamud' reprise of Answers that's been datamined in the 2.3 patch file has anything to do with the first anniversary of ARR's launch (plus that will kind of be the same time that the regular summer event 'Moonfire Faire' will be taking place.

If anything it's more likely there will be some kind of event around the second anniversary of 1.0's shutdown (November 11th) which is the date the in-game Calamity actually happened, and when that track was actually used in 1.0 - goddess I still remember how spooky that was hearing it replace all zone BGM in the game ).

But then stranger things have happened, and I'm quite happy to be proven wrong about this. So I guess it's going to be a very interesting few months for this game!

Honestly? They could at least do a Wandering Minstrel variant of it. Many of us weren't able to actually see the event happen, much less participate in it. It wouldn't necessarily have to have any rewards (other than maybe some old non-event 1.0-exclusive items with designs not found in 2.0 and beyond, like the Star Spangled Subligar and such, maybe a Wind-Up Nael Van Darnus?), but it would be nice JUST to be able to experience that fight at least once.

I'd be happy with Dated gear for vanity, so I can be a BLM like that freaking Lala.

Could be, could be. I look forward to seeing what they do with this. Honestly, I would have suggested the server shut down, but I couldn't remember the exact date for the 1.0 end.

To be clear, Legacy campaign and the 7th umbral era story are 2 different things.

For the 7th umbral era story, this questline is gone and would never come back.
But if it is only for the last battle, SE could always bring another garlean invasion event or Atomos event (maybe Atomos as an Super S elite Hunt ^^).

Are you aware of the magnitude and time span of that event? If you just want the rewards from the quests (Ring and Horn) just ask for them being bought via myths/soldiery/allied seals since SE doesn't seem to have a problem handing stuff to people. But this event should not be repeated in any case or circumstance.

Well....turn 9....I know it's not the same magnitude, but they could do it in some form.

Also, 1.0 was shut down for many reasons, the lag/delays was maybe one of the reasons. ARR doesn't suffer from the same issues, so the 1.0 lag is not a reason to not add it in ARR.
That said, Uhm, i miss the whole thing with Dalamud aproaching, and all that, but...i'm quite sure it's not gonna happen But theoretically they could do an echo-scenario or such. Maybe gold saucer, could have some cinema-cut-scene thing.

From the video in the OP, they want the full event, most of the components of the event were based around Dalamud, and it's proximity to Hydaelyn, the atmospheric disturbance, the behaviour of mobs etc. So a live event wouldn't work because we have no Dalamud now. Others were Garlean invasions, but in the lore Garlemald has given up on conquering Eorzea, for now at least. So we couldn't have many more Garleans around. The only real part we can have is an echo or minstrel's ballad of the fight against Van Darnus and Atomos (I would love to see him out of CT.)

I think the best invasion events were the ones in 1.21

I would certainly like the chance to replay Ifrit / Garuda HM Raven and Rivenroad. No idea how it could be done though.

Maybe with bringing back animation-lock specially for those fights ^^
And limiting the attack range to objects high over the character (the meteors in the raven fight)
