No longer need Ifrit for mog or Levi but do you need titan for ifrit?

Question in title. Long story short, I beat titan ex yesterday, even got the achievement earth for earth. When I went to turn it in it somehow bugged out and tells me to go re tune to the aetheyrte to fight titan extreme. It's ridiculous. I don't care about the quest I got the achievement and I know I beat it. Can I still do ifrit extreme without the quest completed. And yes I sent like 4 emails, posted in the tech support forums and called and all SE could say was they don't deal with in game issues except through bug reports and they give no individual feedback on bug reports. I'm glad I pay 15 bucks a month for such great customer service. Anyway, I refuse to do titan ex ever again, it took me over two hundred tries, just wanna know if I can unlock ifrit without titans quest

You must have completed Titan EX without the quest being active, or at least not at the "defeat Titan" part of the quest. It's entirely possible to do it - I've known players who dropped the quest because they were tired of it sitting in their quest log, only to end up clearing Titan EX and kicking themselves when they realised they didn't get credit.

Either way don't expect Customer Service in any MMORPG to be going in any distributing credit for quests - messing with quest flags like that may be completely out of their hands, and even if it is something they can actally do is likely not something they do lightly.

But yes, completing Quake Me Up Before You O'Ghomoro is necessary in order to access Ifrit EX's quest.

One thing that people seem to be confused about is that even though it says Ifrit Ex isn't needed for Levi Ex or Moogle Ex, is that Garuda Ex or Titan Ex isn't needed either.

It's the whole Garuda/Titan/Ifrit Ex line that is no longer necessary to do Levi/Moogle Ex.
