Lightning Strikes a Third time ?

The equipment's actually pretty good for it's level. Most of my classes have had their turn at looking like Snow briefly.

In any case, this is being done to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the game. I'd have preferred that they do something unique, like a "Festival of the Seventh Dawn" to celebrate the new Astral Era (although I admit that that would be kinda unfair to players who hadn't finished the main scenario yet), but I guess they're too focused on 2.4 and other stuff to throw something together.

Perhaps every anniversary will be celebrated by giving another go at that year's exclusive events?

what a joke, I guess limited time events arent so limited anymore just limited until next time events why not just bring everything back legacy campaign go ahead, goobue horns (with the mat not the laurel) take it, why not just give us everything we ever missed in the game since it seems to mean nothing anyway

yes people want this stuff but its a way to show that you have been here for such and such an amount of time. something that gets rarer over time. Something that 3 years from now someone will ask how did you get that and you can go oh its from an event from 3 years ago and tell tales of things that have passed and drive incentive for people to do these events even if they arent really playing anymore just to get that will one day be rare thing.

Its especially insulting since they stated multiple times across multiple mediums it was a limited time event and even said they have no intentions of bringing it back.

I dont play FFXI anymore but it keeps me subscribing here and there to register items for limited time things in case I ever go back for example here is my code history

I collect this fluff because I want to make sure that limited time things I dont miss out on. Its limited after all. So I find it insulting that they will just go and turn a limited time thing into a limited time until the next time we do it event. This isnt a seasonal event it was a promotional event. May as well just give everyone everything they missed if they are just going to pull this crap.

Those are the only 2 1.0 Legacy items I wish I could get my hands on. Well, besides quite a bit of Dated gear...

Now what ? Lightning event. Reason behind it : FFXIII-LR is released, first in japan (1st event) then in NA/Europe (2nd event) and... that's all. There isn't even a HD remix edition to back this 3rd event. Thus either this reiteration or the first 2 have absolutely no meaning. And it's totally dumb in both case.)

PS4 players should get at least one chance at this, imho.

That being said, what do you bet there'll be an announcement of a FF XIII COMPLETE HD REMIX for PS4 come August? xD

Ive actually been wondering this... I loved FFXIII-2 for sure. Serah was waay cooler than light ^_^
But then I have to wonder, if there is a reason to this event, why Dragon Quest and FFXI as well, Do they have something up their sleeve for those as well I wonder?

Last I heard, they specifically said they weren't doing it again when asked. There's no chance at getting the gear or hairstyles ever again. They are now unobtainable.

Wow I didn't see that pic, cactuar stuff making a return again too? huh.. I wonder where they draw the line... maybe they draw it where they know people will pull out their pristine pitchforks and torches if they try to throw out those ultra rare exclusives like mog earrings.

I fail to understand why won't they simply just make the hairs available from the Aesthetician..That way anyone who wanted the hair can get it and any newcomers that learns about the hair can get it the moment they do the Aesthetician quest. As for the outfits. Make them available from some npc. Why is that such a hard thing to do?

It's not that it's hard, it's that it's a reward from an event, and making event rewards available outside of the event for those who never participated in said event sort of invalidates the event itself. Not that it was hard to get the hairstyle, you just needed to complete the first quest of the event. That said, new players join ever week so beyond relaunching the event these players will never get the hairstyle, or even the rest of the event rewards for that matter. Besides, it's just one hairstyle per gender so it's not like you lose out on an entire library of hair... like we presently do now. Why is it so hard to have all the hair be uni-race/uni-sex? I don't get it.
