Everybody Hates Ramuh (and why the fight needs reworking)

Ramuh not offering rewards on par with the Hunt and not even being a step up from what his pre-requisite fights gave is a blatant design flaw, regardless of the subjective experience of difficulty in the fight. I don't see how people can contest this.

Feel free to check my lodestone. I've cleared Ramuh with an animus bow, no high allagan, only 1 unweathered which is my tabard. My ilvl is 97 and guess what? I pugged it. It took us 1 and a half hour but we didn't give up.
I still stand by what I said earlier in this thread around page 3 or 4. It's the easiest primal. People need to get better.

Congrats you cleared Ramuh as a ranged DPS! What a shocker! Now let's re-read my post where I'm complaining about the main issue being melee dps adding to the difficulty of passing the DPS checks.
Also did you clear it using Titan-egi as your tank? Cause that doesn't count.

Check the lodestone again to see the date I got the achievement (7/16/14) the patched fixed it already, no more Titan egi tank. And stop making excuses first you're saying ALL nay sayers have high allagan and/or t9. Now you're whining that melee dps have it hard! So ridiculous...even if you have half a brain you'd know that the thunder shock around the outer field ONLY happens after the thunder strike I mean seeing those huge thunder circles should give warnings in your head to get out of the water quickly. Still people need to get better. It's an easy fight. Oh and the purple line thing is easy to avoid too it was fun to be honest it reminded me of ultima and sunken temple's last boss.

You haven't cleared Extreme Titan, Ifrit, Leviathan, Moogle, let alone Ramuh. If you have nothing useful to contribute, don't troll my thread thank you.
Cause then I go to their lodestone profiles and they all have high allagan weapons and mostly i110 gear which further proves my point that this fight is not meant for people to gear up with, but becomes useless for those in mostly i110. Also the naysayers are all wearing high allagan rings instead of Ramuh rings which only further proves my point. ಠ_ಠ

Not just possible, but really easy. Benchmark DPS for all jobs in i90 is at least 300. Someone last night claimed that 3dps is impossible and I laughed as we carried yet another client with only 3 DPS.

I don't. 'nuff said. Fight is fine, it's not all about the loot but also about the accomplishment. What's wrong with enjoying the game content without a shiny sword? If it doesn't drop something that appeals to you, fine. Don't do the content. Some people want a challenge and not have stuff just handed to us.

● ITS VERY HARD TO SEE. Maybe this is part of the mechanic, I don't know, but I thought we took a great step forward by making ground AOEs a lot easier to see. Now with Ramuh, the blue lightning circles on the ground & around players are very difficult to see. On top of that, the purple lightning sparks between the ads are so thin and quick, its hard to tell where you should go to dodge! It's similar to ultima weapon, but it was very easy to see the lasers in Ultima HM. In Ramuh ex, I try to move around in hopes I don't end up in the midst of a 3 way ad lightning crossover.

You need to upgrade your skills and raid awareness then. The add's thunderbolt aren't that tough to see, including thunderstorm's circle AoE. When we cleared Ramuh, we didn't understand every mechanic - we didn't really understood how charm chooses its target, we suspected it is distance related but we weren't 100% sure. It was still early patch when we just managed to unlock Ramuh EX after the patch rush. But we still deal with the fight and cleared it.

It is a hint that more of such fights are to come. SV Hard is also one of them, where you have to open your eyes and stop relying on obvious, big fat ground AoE indicator to tell you what you should do.

Thanks for confirming that you parse! In other news, your opinion is invalidated by the fact that your ilvl is 110 and you have enough DPS that you can sell/carry others.
I don't care about people like you who are overgeared for the fight. My concern is the fight is for people who are ilvl 90~100 who are trying to "gear up" and its very difficult to clear the fight within that ilvl.
(But of course you didn't read that part of my post lol)
