Seriously? I saw this question and Immediately shook my head.

Q22: Are there any plans to add mechanics to the elite marks similar to those that bosses use?

A22: We are able to maintain balance in dungeons because of the specific battlefield you fight the boss in. If we do the same for elite marks, it might end up even killing the players that do not want to participate in the fight.

If you don't want to get killed, maybe avoid the massive S rank monsters? Adding some danger to the world IMO, isn't a bad thing at all. I don't enjoy being able to go wherever I want without the slightest risk of ever being killed.

Seeing gatherer's complain about getting killed by hunt mobs also makes me laugh. You mean you might actually have to use that "Stealth" ability if you were given? You mean there might actually be some slight difficulty in gathering that resource? My god I wish some of the complainers had to mine for adaman ore in Ifrit's Cauldron.

Back to the topic, if adding better mechanics to hunt mobs will make the fights more difficult and enduring I don't think SE should hold off because some innocent bystanders might be killed, especially when there isn't a death penalty in this game (sorry, slight gear wear doesn't count).
