Were not most of the players have been complaining about there is no dangerous on the map? Wouldn't add mechanic to S rank elite be all the positive thing then if it might end up killing players on the road ?Q22: Are there any plans to add mechanics to the elite marks similar to those that bosses use?
A22: We are able to maintain balance in dungeons because of the specific battlefield you fight the boss in. If we do the same for elite marks, it might end up even killing the players that do not want to participate in the fight.

While we are not completely ruling this out, we are currently putting an emphasis on making the game easy to understand for the new players that may start playing the game from patch 3.0.
Once again making the game more dynamic and interesting is being put aside for players that aren't even players yet

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
