Take away Withdraw button from Crystal tower queues

Tired of being bounced and waiting 10 min because someone isn't ready..

Either charge people to queue and they lose money so they dont bounce.. make it so they cant queue for 15 min if they hit the withdraw button.

Or they just auto join and can drop if they are so busy and be locked out an hour

Need to fix some stuff here wasting my time.

Oh, this thread again. Remove the withdraw and you'll just have people time it out.

There wont be any time out because there won't be a countdown clock when the queue is full it auto loads you into the instance no matter what your doing

and then you would either have a permanently afk player you would have to kick or someone that would just leave on entry. The time punishment wouldn't matter because if they're leaving to go do something they won't be playing anyway. in either case it leaves everyone else waiting for people to join in progress. Best just let the people committed to the dungeon be there from the start.

And no matter what class you're on, or what level it is? Do you really want to run Crystal Tower with a blacksmith and a botanist as your tanks, and a level 5 lancer and level 12 archer as your healers? Then there's the issue that if they get kicked out in the middle of a dialog in order to enter your instance, the system has to be able to re-initiate it later, which, though perhaps possible, is the type of process that could be all too prone to bugs. When the DF pops, people have to exit what they're doing, switch to the appropriate job and gear, and then join. Skipping the first two of those steps is going to cause all sorts of other issues that are bigger than the one you're trying to solve.

Just adding a disincentive penalty for withdrawing, like not being able to queue again for a while, would be far less error-prone.

With 24 people, there will be times when people go afk or have things come up. However that isn;t the biggest issue, the big issue is (and has always been) tanks trying to get a run in progress. I also feel this is an issue, but forcing people into the instance is a bad idea (for the obvious wrong class/perma-afk issues). However I feel that something should be done.

I think if someone Withdraws or times out of a ready DF a certain number of times within a short time frame then they should be hit with the DF penalty.

Another idea I have is a "Search for in progress ONLY" check box that would allow people to only look for runs in progress. Once someone tries this option and sees that there are no runs currently in action they can choose to do a full run or just not queue up.

Seriously? As Gokuhan stated, you can sit in queue for a long time, which means that normal human functions (bathroom, soda, dinner, beer) can take you away from the keyboard for 45 seconds. As a BRD, I can sit in wait for an hour or more. I don't wear an adult diaper like some hard-core gamers, so I'm going to the bathroom if nature calls. I've even had some long wait times as a WHM. It happens, click each time it pops and you'll get in eventually. You'll note that usually (not always of course) it's the DPS folks that withdraw, and that's probably due to real life getting in the way. Heck, I've fallen asleep waiting for a queue.

Don't be selfish, you're holding back 23 other people like that. If you want to go for dinner, go for dinner, but if you keep withdrawing from queue like that, you should be prevented from taking away the queue spot from honest people for awhile, like 10-15min at least.

The simple solution to that is allow us to change our jobs inside the instance, or at least change to a job that matches the role you queued for so people don't queue as tanks and then whine they want to DPS. While they are at it, let us change party member roles if we want to, as long as the correct ratio is maintained. This way when your tank is a jerk and drops party, someone else with a tank job can finish the dungeon and you just grab a DPS out of the queue.
