while i agree, it should be limited to 1 or maybe 2 pots per personal house or room, if you can have lots of these per player, gardening will be meaningless as gathering is right now, because everyone can gather unlimited mats.

Correction, only those who pay the 300k fee for a bedroom would have access to gardening. And even then most things take 6 days to make and with crossbreeding, that's only the first step of many.

You can't have everyone growing unlimited plants, it would break the economy, actually gardening is the biggest source of gil for a FC, so yes, those who pay 300k for a bedroom or those who buy a personal house, you can't have everything for free.

Nobody was suggesting unlimited pots or anything like that. I, for one, do not think it would be unreasonable to allow different size planters up to a total of 8 slots. That way it's like each person having one gardening plot for themselves, that's it.
And yeah, gardening is a money maker right now....but so are a lot of other things. And players being gated out of various activities because a few guilds who want to use gardening to make cash are cornering the market on items and price gouging players is ridiculous. When Krakka root is going for 30k a piece on the market board, it's pretty bloody ridiculous. Don't even get me started on the pets.

i'm just saying you can't have more slots than the garden itself for every player, it should be enough to crossbreed, so lets say 2 per player, every house is limited on how much plants they can grow, 1 patch per small house, 2 medium, 3 big, this limitation is there for a reason. Also, i suggested rooms or personal housing because placing pots in a FC house would lead to the same, only leaders growing plants, an placing them in an inn room is absurd, it doesn't even have housing options, and it can't because it's not a housing area, the inn room server is not designed that way (not like i know, just guessing).
With 2 pots per room, and 2 pots + the patch for personal housing everyone with access to it will be able to grow pets, choco food and w/e they want, normalizing the prices but not breaking the economy, in the last live letter we saw they do care and control the economy, so they won't make something disproportionate like giving everyone 4-8 gardening pots.

A pot with 2 slots per room is a nice idea. I know people so broke personal housing will not be an option, they really don't care about gil![]()
