Desynth Question: Relation to Character Level

Hello,

I learned that Sea Breeze equipment comes from Desynthing big fish, so it's time for me to start cooking! So, I have a quick question regarding the Desynthesis system.

I understand that we can obtain the Desynthesis "skill" at Level 30. If I were to, say, stay at level 30, could I theoretically level a Desynthesis skill all the way to 100 without leveling the class up to 50? I ask this because Culinarians can get by without desynthing things they themselves craft by just catching fish instead.

Yes, you can. I have an alt with 30ish CUL but 73 CUL dlvl.

Yes you can and so far there is no known / confirmed "decrase" in the desynth success or results using lower level classes or the ones with lower or unmelded equipment.
