Issues Updating.

Greetings,

This is my first time posting, but when I installed the game on my windows 7 home premium system, and open up the .exe file shortcut, it comes up with the and says preparing download, but that's all it does, I was able to download the first patch with no issues but nothing further....any ideas on how to get this working? cause I really want to give this game a 2nd chance.

There seem to be numberous issue with ffXIV right now . As for window 7 did you run it as admisnitrator? If yes then I suggest you look around other threat althrough most are unsolved at the moment.

I would also try to delete the ffxiv folder in your user->documents->my games folder, run the config again and then try to run it. And make sure that nothing in the ffxiv game folder is write protected.

Can you post a checksum of the file? So we can compare it.
