Fighter's Armor Augmentation - Alchemy

So... I want this... pretty bad. ...

My FC mates tell me I'm better off NOT leveling alchemy at all and instead should contribute to their goal so they can help me obtain these items.

So.. exactly how much effort, time and money does it take to make my Warrior AF Blue when your new to Alchemy?

Skills required for 3 Star = Ingenuity (or II), Waste Not (or II), and Careful Syn II.

What your FC friend said can help you get your item faster, but which is better, let someone else feed you the fish, or learn how to fish? Your choice.

As for anything that requires myths, I say go find a very active hunting LS and go hunting. I can reach the 2K myths cap in just a few hours, therefore I consider any myth mats cheaper then those GC seal mats.

Over all, it all depends on how you want to play the game. IME/HO leveling your classes can never hurt, relying on your FC or others, will.

Maybe AF armor will be upgraded ilvl 110+ like relic weapons, and this is one of the requirements

But I agree for cosmetic changes quite a big cost.

Short answer: they are absolutely right. If you can work out an arrangement where you help them and they get you the stuff, everyone wins.

You have absolutely no idea how much time, devotion, and resources it takes to be able to craft 3-star items. I have been been devoting most of my game time to crafting for two months (because I enjoy it) and I am still not yet in position to make 3-stars. I have also spent millions of Gil on just materia for my equipment melds, and I had been diligently farming my own materia.

Sounds like me. I'm just now working up to three-star, though I do have every class at two-star level.
