Hunts and Augemented AF (Dyeable)

This is just me venting, so feel free to meh through this.

I was one of the folks looking forward to Augmented AF. But would have never thought they'd make it some extreme level Alchemy that was gonna so sparsely populate the auction house, AND be priced over 5mil just to get the set. This just seems way off to me. I realize prices will fall, but why is this such an unaccessible thing? I immediately started leveling Alchemy, only to have my alchemist friends tell me that it's such an unreachable recipe, it'd be better just to throw materials at them so they could make.

And then we come to Hunts, where running around in a pack is the only way you can participate, and mindless grinding is now the way towards the best gear. Not to say that many things aren't a mindless grind... but essentially this is just another FATE Grind, except with no big blue circle on the map. But it's currently the easiest way to get ahead. Unfortunately it brings out the worst in folks cause of the upgrade items you can buy with them. The people that find these mobs get huge exclusive linkshells to do it, the people who can't find, shout curses and complain about the unfairness of it all.

Seems to me that a Oil/Sands would have been better to place in other content, maybe tie it to soldiery purchase, and put the Augmention stuff in Hunts. Would atleast help to make it a more friendly world.

Or use all the tons of myth you get from hunt to buy the craft items and have crafter craft your augmented AF ?

I was lucky enough to get some rare drops from doing treasure hunts which gave me enough money to get the augmentation pieces I wanted. But yes I don't know why it has such a high material cost.

Only one from our 8man hunt group has hunting ls and yet we still claim most B's and A's and even some S now and then, key to do hunts with small group is to split players in multiple zones and maybe have one "mole" to not miss hunts from zones where you currently dont have members. Also making online excel where you can setup spawn times manually helps alot(you still need to find and kill them first to get timer rolling)and most of all you need to know multiple spawnpoints for B's and A's, yes they have fixed spawn locations instead being totally random, its just that both ranks(and i assume S aswell)have over 10+ spawn points depending zone size and they both share same locations(both A and B can spawn in same spot).

So in the end for us hunting LS's does more harm than good due size of zerg and potetial earlypullers/resetters you get when informin locations in LS chat. Not to mention how much fun some of A's can be when done with 4/8man group only.

I like your idea, i don't care about the augmentation items (i would like to dye my smn body tho) but these rewards can't stay in hunts, the high end hunt rewards are destroying the purpose of dungeons, primals and coils.
