Being kicked from dungeons, not able to complete quest

these dungeon this are very annoying. i start playing and after not very long i am ejected from my own quest. i am then unable to finish the quest and move forwards in the main storyline.

I would like to know if there is a way i can skip these other player quests and just get on with playing the game. right now i am stuck nubale to move forwards in the storyline.

great game just a pitty your FORCED to do these dungeons and then become banned/kicked/ejected from them.

cooldowns ? yadda yadda, i played for a couple weeks now and have no clue what is going on, its come to the point that i am let running around doing nothing.

Please please add in a way solo players can atleast finnish the main quest storyline without having to join 4 man groups.

No voice coms built into the game either so you have to spend half the fight typing on a keyboard to get any answer, i mean
com on Square a simple group coms is not a hard to instigate add on/upgrade.

Yeah, they don't want to add voice chat because it's more overhead for them to deal with and most players use a 3rd party method already. All I can say about the dungeons is that you need to tell people that you're new and inexperienced and they should help you out/ give you some leeway. Once you have a feel for it, it's not too difficult. If you keep having trouble maybe try leveling a DPS instead. People will not notice your screw ups nearly as much. Being a tank puts you in the spotlight and everyone is watching/ relying on you.

Why don't you know, learn how to play the game? It's a MMORPG. If you're getting ejected from story/progression dungeons consistently, ITS NOT THEM, it's you.

As Tank, you have to take the lead role in every dungeon. Tanks get kicked out because they are not prepared for new dungeons (= not knowing what to do) or undergeared. Of course not all the time, because there are many other people in dungeons who can help out with tips and tricks, but overall i can just suggest you to watch a video guide on youtube for every new dungeon, so you can prepare yourself and know what to do in specific moments during boss fights in that dungeon. I know that this is might be something you dont want to do, because it seems you only want to play the solo part of the game, but the 4-man dungeons are a very important content in the game. They simply teach every player how to do well in thier specific role and to be prepared for end game content once they completed the main story.

So yeah, as tank you did choose the hardest class in this game. Your only option is to watch guides before you enter a new dungeon.

Edit: Some dungeons are also a heavy difficulty spike, like brayflox.

    Make 3 friends.
Be funny, sociable, direct, what have you.
And let them know you're struggling a bit. And that you're looking for a solid group/pointers.

Either you want to improve and not be a burden (in which case, congratulations and I already like you), or you're better suited to an offline game where you can play as you want without it interfering with other's time (which is perfectly fine).

Also, check out the guides online that will give you ideas of what your role is and how best to use your skills. Will help you immensely.

i have played an MMORPG for the past 8-9yrs 24/7 , pvp and pve.
i know its me, but does not help when your kicked out without no explanation at all.
it took me ages just to get three player confirms to gain the quest, but its becoming more hard.

gladiator to me is hack n slash and thats what i thought it was.

do i have to delete my gladiator lvl 25 and start all over again ?

No. Gladiator is tank. You have to learn how to tank properly, or you won't progress.

Let your party know upfront that you're new to the dungeon and that you'd appreciate advice and input. As a gladiator, you are the tank and people will expect you to manage hate. So take a couple of minutes to hover over each skill and get a good feel for what it does. Ideally, you are pulling a pack of mobs with shield lob. As they rush you, flash 2-3 times to establish some really firm hate on them. Then use your hate build combos on them to make it solid. If someone's not slept mobs, you can then move to another one with the hate combo to firm up hate on it. More flash. Chase down anything that goes after your healer or dps. You'll make it.

If you're being kicked as a tank, most likely people don't realize you are still new and possibly assume you are trolling them. Communication really is key in resolving this for you. If they are giving you advice/directions, take the time to inquire what they mean. Use the translator if you don't have a keyboard available to you.

The nice thing about FF14 is that you can pick up a new class whenever you want. Gladiator and paladin are tank classes responsible for managing enmity, positioning, damage mitigation, and general leadership. Maybe you'd be more interested in monk or dragoon, they are melee classes that focus on positions and more complex rotations. Melee dps enjoys shorter queue times than ranged dps as well.

At the same, don't give up gladiator if it's a class you want to learn to play. There are plenty of fun, helpful people in the community. Find someone you like playing with that will help you through the initial learning curve.

From what I've experienced, the community seems really helpful. I'd say you should try joining a Free Company. You can get advice, gear, and people who'd be more than willing to help get your dungeons finished. Good luck!
