Any idea what the west terminal does? Seems to me it is nothing but a distraction.

the smallest terminal on the north west part stops the eyes from moving for maybe a minute. however, it is pointless to use it since you take the boss battle to the south, and take the skeleton battle out of the area they roam in.

but they do fly right up to the Defense down terminal and you might get unlucky and get stunned for a bit. so just watch for that

so just ignore that terminal altogether.
