Can't get animus weapon

I have completed all for the "Trail of the Braves" books but am unable to get my animus weapon for my monk. Speaking to the person who sell the books gives me the message that i need to talk to Jalzahn but Jalzahn quest maker is still red.


unequipping the weapon and putting on a different one does nothing. i can't buy anymore books. i don't know what to do. am i simply missing a step or is this a bug?

Try putting your weapon into your main inventory, not your armory chest.
