Were you the person in High School that when assigned a group project with other classmates you made them do all the work which was double the effort since you brought little to nothing to the table and was able to get the credit for it and own beneficial gain even though you did practically nothing.

I'm not even guilty of spirit-binding in CT or ST. I've seen my fair share of it in these instances as well and you know what? I just don't think it's a big deal. If people are spirit-binding with their appropriate class stats, and they meet the ilvl req. It's not a big deal. I still clear the content, and move on. CT/ST is not a serious raid at all so I don't feel the need to rip someone apart because they spirit bind in it.

And if they aren't? Go look at the picture the OP showed and try to tell me that's in any way appropriate gear. I have no problem with spiritbinding in Crystal Tower raids or even hardmode roulette dungeons (I did it a fair few times myself to spiritbond my Astral accessories) but it needs to be gear that makes actual sense.

Funny thing about this, is once we get addons, someone for sure is going to make one of these. Yoshi even commented recently that addons will have access to data the client receives, like damage data.

Additionally, I believe there was also talk of adding DPS meter functionality to striking dummies, albeit ones that could only be viewed by the attacking player.

That wasn't even my argument.. Most of the gear you're mentioning that he's wearing cannot even be converted.

I was referring to actually wearing things that you can convert into materia in these instances. Wearing gear that is appropriately stat based for your classes stats in instances to spirit-bind as long as you meet the ilvl requirement is fine by me. Not wearing a DoL chest if you're a DoW or DoM.
