What they should do is make spirit bonding only work in the lower level dungeons.
This way it always keeps those dungeons going for new players.
Then cross out spirit bonding for higher dungeons.

I'll spirit bond my accessory side sometimes, but I'm still doing a ton of damage just due to the stats on my left side. In the end I'm better geared than some of the people in there regardless of my right side. It's pretty rude to spirit bond every slot though.

Guaranteed IV materia from a crafted item above ilvl70. No mobs higher than 50 in open world/dungeons. Heck yeah i'm spiritbonding in the only option they give me (until level cap increase, where we may be able to spiritbond the ilvl70 in open world, but will probably have higher level gear again that we can't do outside raids..
However, not overboard. perhaps 1 accessory or armor piece at a time, nothing major like equipping a full set of stuff to sb.

If i want to wear spiritbond accessories, people should let me.
It's not like me (and everyone else) doing it at i100 will make us able to wipe to that rediculously easy content. Even more so when i use I70 accessories with INT while i'm on my BLM. or VIT on a Tank. People who opt to kick you over missing out 10 INT from your original set are asswipes. When there's plenty of people in the group with worse stats and or gear that arent spiritbonding.
Full armor set however, yeah, that's bad i guess. But even the healer from the Original Poster's specifications would have no problems healing through ST...

Still being within the requirements for the dungeon should make it fine, imo. Though, the class you're doing it as may cause different issues.
For DPS, as long as your stats are still relevant and you aren't causing the raid to wipe to DPS checks I don't see a problem. Same deal for healers except for keeping people alive.
Tanks have it a bit harder since you're responsible for no one else dying. Though accessories here shouldn't have too big an impact other than your max HP going down a little bit.
I've spiritbonded the level 49 accs on BLM for T3 and the occasional T4 materia (which yes, can be done in Urth's Gift) and still come out at i80 and done just fine. It would be better in i70 accs when I get to the point that I need T4 materia, but the i49 accs do enough when your main gear is up to snuff.
The real problem is the people who take it personally that someone is spiritbonding accessories and start harassing them for it.
ST gives 24% SB for an entire run with 1 meld. You'd have to be an idiot to 'want' to SB in ST.

1. it's called "killing 2 birds with 1 stone"
2. people looking for specific drops could easily need 4+ runs
Who's the idiot now? Honest question, not like I'm saying you are or anything.

or, you have a lot of time and need to farm it anyway for a UAT or some other drop you want? ^-^

It's utterly pointless to go with such low lv gear, to ST...you dont sb faster than in castrum.
Only gear worth SB in ST, would be ilv 90 crafted gear (if you can sb it there, i know that mobs in T8 dont give sb to ilv90 crafted stuff) For ilv70 stuff, Expert dungeons would be enough.
You only need to kill stuff that are 10lv higher than the gear you're trying to SB, more than that is just counter productive. And there's not enough mobs in ST, to make SB, effective.
It's not a matter of ST being easy, it's about ppl getting carried cause they are selfish, and stupid for thinking ST is better than castrum. You're gimping a 24man alliance, cause you wanna SB...when you can more easily/faster do it in a SB pt at urths, or castrum.
The other problem is that you can get in, using appropriate gear...but there's nothing stopping you from changing gear, while inside, and drop to sub-req ilv.

Someone wearing spiritbonding gear isn't causing the other players to stand in the big glowing orange shapes of stupid.
Players wanting everyone in their top gear somehow aren't looking to get carried? It's never a waste if its something you had to/were going to do anyways. It's called being efficient. It's utterly pointless to go with such low lv gear, to ST...you dont sb faster than in castrum.
