    Highly dislike the desynth system

I will state my displeasure first and foremost with not being able to skill cap each job. I will also state my displeasure in the fact that other skills go down as I'm bringing my main ones up. Now, I don't even want to level any other desynth skills at all due to be being afraid my GSM skill will decrease.

You know this taking a lot of fun out of crafting, right? Why did you let us master each crafting job (and battle job as well) if you cap our desynthing? Why make it where in order to do one thing such as desynth an i70 leather ring, I have to watch my GSM skill go down 50 points? It's ridiculous! Name a scenario in real life where an artisan suddenly forgets how pull apart a piece of furniture when he's dismantling a piece of jewelry. Please, fix this. Stop making this game feel so much like WORK!

Post a screenshot of your GSM going down 50 points from a single desynth.

It's specialization, and yes, if you really care to compare it to real life, someone that spends time on one skill 'will' slowly lose skill at other things. A carpenter who switches careers to construction work and later goes back to carpentry isn't going to be as good at it as they were when they left.

Further, you're exaggerating the loss. You 'occasionally' lose .01 points in a random other desynth craft while you're raising one and under 300 total. After 300, I imagine it's more severe, as it has to stay balanced, but it may well depend on how much you're raising one by.

Tell that to Leonardi Da Vinci who was an Italian Renaissance polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer.
He didn't suddenly get bad at painting, just cause he was doing math and writing.
And it doesn't make sense anyway, unles you de-level DoW/M/H/L classes/jobs, also.
You can only take it to 100 for one class, you can cap max 3, cause you get 300 pts.

You can only cap 2, each class starts at 1 and is subtracted from the 300 total.

Yes and no ... of course if you have all DoH at 30+ (usually 50) then you're missing 5 points in total so in theory you can reach only 295 on three you've decided to level up desynth on. If the other classes will be unable to drop bellow 1 you're indeed stuck at 295. However if you'd have only 3 DoH classes at 30+ and all other bellow 30 (loosing thus many crossclass abilities) you can in theory reach 300 so most logical solution would be to level up 2 most usefull desynths on your main and then other 3 (plus another 3 if you feel like) on your alt(s) while keeping any other "unwanted" classes bellow 30 there (or not level them at all if you don't care about crossclass skills, after all you can craft anything you need for leveling on your main anyway). Indeed there is an issue with passing items and gil between alts plus no option to pass bonded or untradable items but it's still better than nothing if you really really want to max desynth on all classes.

I quite doubt that it would be changed - it was clearly stated fairly early that you'd not be able to level up / max out all classes on desynth, originally it even looked like it would be possible on only one so I'd say that (almost) three is quite acceptable compromiss. If you really want / "need" them all see my comment above.

Yeah. For the first few projects. But they can get back in the saddle fairly quickly. Skillsets are a lot like riding bikes. IRL, don't let the fear of 'loosing' your skill prevent you from pursuing new things.

I don't like not being able to enjoy every element from an MMO, but you can change your specialty. It just takes a bit of work.

I'm glad the game finally has some sort of choice finally (It's not like you can't change whenever you want) I enjoy being able to specialize making being high in one thing a rarer thing and therefore having more value from crafters.

Shame that crafting still isn't a huge part of the game.

Why lose anything at all I agree, just like they tried to do with the relics to force you to level one character only. I don't like just playing one character I like to do all the jobs.
