Sightseeing Log - Its just not happening.

Weather changes at midnight and 8am (and later on I forget when, 4pm?)

The two last log entries I need for 1-20 NEVER EVER occur. I've tried multiple hours in a row, no luck whatsoever. Every day I try whenever its near time.

5am-8am. Thats the window. Awful awful window.

Go to the two zones at midnight. If its Foggy in Lower La, it will be foggy at the right time. Same for Mid La; rain at midnight = log complete

I have the first 20 complete (Rain in W Than...absolutely forever. Now I need it again in the same timeslot? Pure Evil) and a couple of the other 60 (Hunts took over ). You have to be patient and keep looking

My sentiments exactly. I completed the first 20 entries shortly after they were released... and then promptly realized doing 60 more entries was the most boring, tedious thing I could ever do to myself. You can keep your minion, Square.

Really easy lol..
Just have 100-150k gil
Teleport to every region at each time frame
12:05am, 8:05 am, 4:05pm
If its raining before 4pm and you need it right on 4pm then you are wasting your time camping because the game will only count it after it passes the time frame.
Cuz since there's 5 mins after 4pm you'd think you could squeeze in a /lookout etc before it changes weather.
I tried it and it starts to work but stops half way as if you got intereupted lol = does not count.

You gotta teleport every timeframe on each region if you wanna maximize ur chances.

SE nerfed SS logging as "fair" and "clear" weather are now in the same category. So lucky you guys lol.
Cuz clear weather at 6am pre 2.3 in camp bluefog was so freaking rare. Also clear weather in coerthas? Just as rare too cuz its always snowing and the occasional blizzard.

If you have Patience problems because of Weather, please look forward to the places you need to visit in the 2nd log (21-80). There you have condition problems AND crazy jumps to perform.

if you think that's bad, try doing entry number 48. that made me quit sightseeing forever.

I have completed 58/80 and this nr. 48 is also still open for me and I truly hate it lol. Been trying it for (Eorzea times) hours and still did not manage to make that jump a single time. I am also deep in Love with nr. 67 where you have to perform a crazy jump in Northern Thanalan when it is foggy and all that while you almost ALWAYS have 1-2 enemies with random aggro on your back.

Time against you, weather unlikely to happen and constantly aggroed and never left alone so you can concentrate on the Jump. I don't know, when I started with Sightseeing I thought it was something casual, for fun and to relax. But the amount of Patience you need both for the Weather and Gamepad skills to make a perfect jump is beyond everything I find entertaining or relaxing. We talk about millimeters that decide about Success or Fail. At places where it is beyond me how people even found out about them. I am doing it with a Guide and use Videos and still have problems performing the jumps lol.

I don't know, failing in Coil is one thing, doing a jump for a Log a hundred times and failing a hundred times just makes my blood boil lol. I wish I would have never started it, now the Nerd in me wants it completed. But I lost the Fun in doing them already because I know the rest I miss are partially really tricky as far as the jumps are concerned. So bottom line, another Game element that relies heavily on RNG and player annoyance and resistance to fails. Too much of those elements lately.

I'm having trouble with the #17 in Central Thanalan. I've camped this one for 3 weeks now, and whenever there's fog, it disappears at 8AM, when 8AM is actually the window start :/
