Thread: mount music

so I saw the threads about adding terra's theme to the magiteck mount, and while it defenitely sounds cool, it actually got me thinking about it on a bigger scale.

would it be possible to link the mount music for each mount to something the mount is associated with?
to be clear, I'm not saying to add music, this would all be things already in game.

so say for example:
if you summon the flying eye mount, instead of the generic mount music we have now, maybe it could play the haukke manor music instead (in which the flying eye does play a somewhat minor role in it)

if you thought hard enough, I'm sure there is a music that could be associated to each of them in some way that makes sense. and if there just really is no such thing, then maybe then it could just default to the generic music we have now.

this would give mounts a LOT more diversity with it being not only the mount changing but it being a specific tune for each one as well.

Or just give us the jukebox option already and let us select music for each mount.

Probably because of the extra work it would take to have to code individual music tracks to each individual mount (and given the fact there are so many mounts now, it would probably take up a lot of development time and resources to do so).

It's not as simple as it seems to be just a case of adding a track into the game - and anyone who has even a slight understanding of programming knows that when you start to make changes to existing code, it can break things that were working perfectly before.

So hence SE's reluctance to change the music to existing mounts. Yes I'd love to hear Terra's Theme on the magitek armour as much as the next person, but I at least understand why they haven't changed it or any other mount's BGM - the risk to something breaking once they start messing with the existing code is just too high.
